Resurrection

The old man dies to bring in the new.
A new reflection is about to be birth in you.
The road you take is nothing new, it’s been traveled
before, long before you knew this road is for you.

Past mistakes need not follow you, for the steps you
take lead to something new. It’s time to let the Spirit
guide the new creature that resides in you, to grant the
desires He place inside of you.

So look to the horizon for something new is about to
breakthrough, but only if you let go of the
past and allow Him to do what He needs to do.

Resurrect yourself to something new. Allow the Spirit
to get you through the next second, minute, hour and all year
through. Open yourself to something different and unique.
Don’t put Him in a box; He doesn’t put limits on you.
Allow His reflection to be resurrected in you.

Grace Came Silently

Grace is silent it speaks to no one.
It came in silently underneath a star that
shined like the sun.
Wrapped in humility that no one would wear,
a sacrificial lamb that would one day carry
the weight of the world.

Yes, Grace was silent when heaven’s angels
spread the news, that the Messiah has come,
Emanuel, God is with you.

Only the humble were called to this place, an invitation
to witness the prophecy that took place.
Shepherds they are called, for they will spread the good
news, to tell the world that grace has come and that the
law can no longer condemn you.

It’s Okay to let it out

Its okay to let it out when you’re disappointed and you don’t know what to do. Its okay let it go, tell God, “Lord, I’m confuse, tell me, tell me, what I should do. I’ve done all I know how, the rest I leave to you. I’m trying to be strong and trust in you, but everywhere I turn nothing seems to come through.”
Its okay let it out, let it flow, cry to your hearts content it detoxifies the soul. Don’t hold it in and allow bitterness to poison you. Let it out and cry, “Lord, I need a breakthrough.” I Know know we’re suppose to be strong, but somehow the tears that fall really do help you to go on.
So let it all out when you’re alone. Let him hear your cries, your worries and your moans; for it is his Spirit that speaks to you, the Holy Spirit that intercedes for you.
Crying doesn’t mean you’re weak or upset that you didn’t get your way. It just means you’re human and you know that God’s way is the best way. So let it out and let it go, it heals the mind, body, spirit and soul.

What Image Are You?

As the holiday season is upon us, I can’t help but see all the images that portray the season we’re in. It’s Christmas hooray and more, seeing the worries on people’s faces as they run around looking for the best deals for their daily, weekly or monthly wages.
Hum, I think to myself as they race through the store. Have they thought about those who can’t afford? Have they thought about them all year long? Did they know that some one has lost their home and everything they own? They have a gimme, gimme, gimme look on their worried little faces. I pay my offerings and tithes with a smug look on their faces.
They say they are Christians you see, they say that, greater is he who is me; “hey, hey, hey, look at me. I am the image of Christ that’s what a Christian means.” Oh really I think to myself, well let me see. When was the last time you took a friend to church, or called to see if they needed anything, to make sure they weren’t sick or hurt? When did you pay some ones’ rent so they wouldn’t be out with only their shirt? When did you clean out your pantry, refrigerator or give away the best clothes you don’t wear? “I do that”, you say, “I do that once every year.” Oh yes, Christmas time I suppose, that’s when it’s proper to give with cheer,” Tis the season to be jolly, during this time of year.” But what is your image all year long? Is Christ only there when good fortune comes along? Is it there when the haves’ have and the have not s’, not; Um, I think not. The image of Christ is all year round you see. The Image of Christ is not the gifts under the tree or a once a year thing, don’t you see. The image that so many claim to have is when you give your last so your neighbor can have. It’s a sacrifice, an image of love from you to me. The Image that was portrayed by the man you call Savior who die and rose again so we can be free.
It says in his word to love completely, all year long; not when it’s the proper time or when you fortune seems to be on the raise. Give of your time in prayer and song. Give, not just at this time but all year long. This is the image you want others to see, an image of Christ who showed us how to be in his and not in the image of I, you or me.

Everyday is Thanksgiving

It’s the day before Thanksgiving Eve. People are running around trying to shop for the big day. Making sure they have the bird and all the trimmings that go along with it is driving them insane. Calling friends and relatives far and near, wishing them with greetings of “Happy Thanksgiving, wish you were here.” Hoping and praying that there is enough for everyone here, and enough to stretch for leftovers because the grocery bill almost brought them to tears.
Yes, it’s Thanksgiving once again for many of us who hold this holiday as giving thanks for another year, but how many of us give thanks everyday and not just once a year. As we reflect on what we have gone through during the year. I believe giving thanks is something we should practice every minute, every hour and every day of the year.
Giving thanks to Our Heavenly Father is something He cherishes and encourages us to do. The more we praise him, the more he continues to bless us for acknowledging him for bringing us through. For without him we could do nothing, but with him we can do everything. So when giving thanks make sure you give credit to whom credit is due.
Lord, I thank you and praise for everyday I am able to serve you. May nothing hinder me from being in the presence of you and let this day and everyday, be a day of praise and thanksgiving to you. Amen
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

God I don’t understand this man!

This past month has been really interesting. My glasses broke about a week ogo. That was a humbling experience. I couldn't see very well for a day and half. Everything around me seem to be out of focus, both spiritually and the naturally, but God has a way of bringing everything into focus when we can’t see.
Now you’re probably wondering were I’m going with this. Well let me start by saying the day I put my glasses in the shop I realize there was a language barrier between me and the gentleman that repairs glasses. First of all allow me to say this without offending any one. I really have a hard time understanding people who have a foreign dialtic. Which was the case with the Asian gentleman in the shop.
When I took my glasses in for them to be repaired, he told me it would cost me forty-three dollars, Not really happy with the price he quoted me, because my mind was set on paying less than twenty dollars. Why less than twenty dollars you ask, because that was what I was told when this place was recommended to me. Therefore, I had an attitude about the forty-three dollars, but I paid it because I can’t see without my glasses.
Now as I recall the man was speaking jiberish to me. I really didn’t understand what he was saying, so I tried piecing together his broken sentences by repeating everything back to him and replied yes to what I understood him to say, but there is one thing for sure I don’t recall him asking me, and that was what type of metal my frames were. All he told me was that my glasses would be ready by the end of the day.
Well, unfortuatelly there was a problem. He called to tell me that he couldn’t fix my glasses because they are made from titatum mental and that it would cost me sixty-dollars to get them repaired. Natually, I was upset, so I told the gentleman that I would come in and pick up my glasses.
When I arrived there, the gentleman was reluntant to say anything to me, when he showed me my glasses, which was seperated in two pieces,I hit the roof. He tried to explain to me that he could fix them for sixty-dollars, but he was saying it wrong. What he should have said, “I can fix them for an additional seventeen-dollars. We went around and around for about ten to fifteen minutes about the sixty-dollatrs. That’s when I had reached my breaking point and stood in the middle of the man's store and cried out to God "Help me Lord because I don't understand a word this man is saying to me." Then all of a sudden a Hispanic gentleman, Richard Abil spoke up and said, ‘ how much does it cost to fix her glasses I’ll pay for it.” Not realizing that anyone else was in the shop, I turned around and said with amazement “Oh thank you, but you really don’t have to do that.” Richard said, “why not, I serve a good God and he has been good to me. So allow me to bless you by paying the difference.” So Mr. Abil asked the Asian gentleman, “so how much is it really, sixty-dollars or seventeen-dollars. The gentleman said seventeen dollars.
Now I know your finding this somewhat funny, and I did too after thinking about it. However, I realized that God was giving me favor and allowing Richard to practice Kingdom principles.
Favor, you call it. It sounds like to me it was a woman who was having a temper tantrum in the middle of the shop, because she didn’t want to pay an extra seventeen dollars to get her glasses fixed. I suppose you could say that, but when you really look at the big picture, God took my situation and proved that he does have people who live according to the word of God. Who know how the kingdom principles operate and to show that this witnessing tool for the unbelivers. When I really think about it, it wasn’t about my glasses getting fixed or me paying an extra seventeen dollars. It was about God fullfilling his promises through one of his own. He was Blessed to Be a Blessing, and the Asian gentleman needed to see God’s children in action.

"Blessed to Be a Blessing"- This is an ACT of Kingdom Principles.

From time to time I like to show movie trailers or music videos of my favorite artist, but this time I would like to share an act of kindness. This act of kindness is not something new. It was practiced in the early church. The book of Acts talks about how the assembly of born again Christians would come together and give to those in need. The widows, orphans and the poor. They would sale whatever they had and give to those who had a greater need. No one had more than the other. Acts 2:44,45
This church "Valley Kingdom" is a prime example of a practice that needs to be put back into action in all of our churches. Feeding the homeless and giving out rations from the benevolent fund is not good enough. If you have tithe paying members in the congregation, then it is your responsibility to make sure that every member has their needs met. No hand me downs either. Give them the best, because God gives you the best. Set out a basket in front of the sanctuary for people to give every week, better yet take up and offering and let those who are in need take what need from the basket. It is amazing how one dollar can add up when you have a membership of five thousand. It is time for us to step up and not allow the government to be our source, but to give what our heavenly Father has blessed us to give. He made sure your needs are met; now it's time for you to make sure others are met too. For it says in Luke 6:38 Give, and [gifts] will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will they pour into [the pouch formed by] the bosom [of your robe and used as a bag]. For with the measure you deal out [with the measure you use when you confer benefits on others], it will be measured back to you. Amplified Bible
This testimony should not be so unusual; it should be the norm among born again believers. God wants to shine through us not around us. He wants to show the children of darkness who he is through the children of light. So let us come together and be a blessing to one another as this assembly was a blessing to this young woman and her family.

Check your Attitude

You know when you just have one of those days when you seem to have a bad attitude about everything that comes your way. Not realizing it, your voice will begin to escalate because someone said something that offended you. At this point, your blood pressure is rising, and you are doing everything in your power to keep your mouth shut, for fear of saying the wrong thing, because you know once you say it, you can’t take it back. You walk away from the situation or conversation to avoid any conflict between you and the other party. Only to find yourself imagining what you should’ve, could’ve or would’ve said. Thinking that your right, because of course, everything you say to yourself is in total agreement with your flesh.
Yeah, I said it, flesh; that nasty, stinkin, prideful, all about me flesh. You know what I’m talking about, the I,I,I and me, me, me, Ooowe, nasty. Now if you are in the word God you will realize it right away, but if your not, that fleshy spirit will linger and cause others to stay clear of you.
I have to constantly catch myself and ask the Holy Spirit to put me in check, whatever the conflict or situation is. Instead of imagining the worse and shooting off my mouth, I am beginning to ask the Holy Spirit, first to forgive me for imagining such ridiculous thoughts and ideas, then how to handle the situation or the person I am having the conflict with. If I don’t, it gives the enemy room to plant seeds of resentment, pride, bitterness and hate, all the things that are not the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Where am I going with this, what I am saying is check your attitude. Find out from the Holy Spirit why you are reacting this way. He will set you straight if you allow him to. He is a great mediator, He will tell you what to say, when to say it and how.
Often times we fail to realize that it is our wrong way of thinking that causes some major issues in our lives, we get a chip on our shoulder because we think were okay, or we think we know what were doing, or our way is right. When in reality it is our Heavenly Father who determines what is okay, what we should or should not be doing and if we are right or not.
Remember we are constantly evolving, changing into his likeness. Walking in his love and presence, this is how we grow into his image.
I must admit checking my attitude is an every day thing. I have to watch what I say and put my thoughts under submission.

“Searching for Enoch”

I was doing some research on Enoch today. Why Enoch you may ask yourself. I thought the same thing when I was in meditation this morning, but there is something to be said about this great man of faith. He’s mentioned once in the Old Testament, and twice in the New Testament. Other than that, very little is said about him. Not many preachers talk about him, if any thing is said, it usually is in passing. Like, “Enoch walked so close to God that he took Enoch with him.” So I asked myself why, why isn’t there enough information about a man who had so much faith that God didn’t allow him to face death. So I went to Hebrews 11:5 and it says; Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him. For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God. Amplified

Well the answer to that needs very little explanation. God taking Enoch was enough to let any one know it was his faith, and the fact that he knew God very well. In other words you have to know him to go with him. God was just so blown away by how much faith Enoch had in him that he said “you know what, man you don’t belong here; why don’t you just come with me.” Whew, can you imagine not having to face death. Oh how awesome that would be. Just to be in the presence of our heavenly Father so much that you just transcend into the heavens. Wow, I feel a shout comin on.

I had to step back for a minute and think about the relationship Enoch and God had. They talked about everything, I’m sure they were the best of friends. This may sound weird, but they had a great love affair. One that was deeper than a man or woman together could ever have. It says in Genesis 5:24 the Amplified version that “Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God;” which means it was an everyday experience; it was the norm for Enoch. Now think about how much time we spend confessioning God’s love and saying that we are Christians, but we don’t spend any time in fellowship with him. It says in Matthew 6:33: But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things taken together will be given you. Amplified
That means the things that seem important to us are not as important as spending time with God and what he has to say in his word. The Holy Spirit pointed out to me, that this is the type of relationship he would like to have with me, with you, with us. He wants to be so close that nothing can penetrate the relationship we have with him. That’s the kind of relationship he had with Enoch. Nothing came between them, not family, job, or his personal possessions, because it was God who gave it to him in the first place. Enoch did not concern himself with what everyone else was doing. He stayed in constant communication with God.

I was reading an article written by Julia Shipley “Bible Stories- Enoch” on http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Julia_Shipley. Ms. Shipley stated that “Because Enoch and God walked together, Enoch must have learned to walk in step with God and listen for His voice. We too, may walk with Him, if we believe His Word and obey it.” Julia also stated that “one cannot walk very well on one foot. It takes two! These two feet tell us what it means to walk by faith as Enoch did. One is marked BELIEVE and the other one is marked OBEY.”

Think about it, his relationship was greater than the one he had with Abraham and he is considered the father of faith. But Enoch had that God pleasing faith; he believed and obeyed God no matter what, because he knew God, he listened to God and trusted God. Although he could not see him, this faceless man, he believed in him. It was Enoch’s spirit man talking and walking with the Spirit of God; and everyday for them was Eden.

Lord, may I forever be in your presence, this day and always. Amen

" Not About Me"

It’s not about, not about, me; or what I think I should do.
It’s not about the pleasures; or what the flesh wants to do.
It’s not about, not about, me, but it’s all about you.

My ambitions are transitions of decisions with you.
Each day I get closer, and closer, my passions are for you.
It’s not about, not about, me, or what I want to do.
It’s all about, all about, you, I see, and what you want to do.

It’s all about, your desires for me.
It’s all about how you took the slack, and have my back, so I wouldn’t be trap for eternity.
It’s not about, not about, not about me! It’s not about I,I,I; or me,me,me.
It’s all about your glory for others to see.
There is no anointing if it’s all about me.
It’s your blood, your blood; that covers me.
Without that, my filthy rags are all you would see.

Never mind what people say or think; cause in your presence is what I seek.
A new way of thinking that is not about me. In your wings, your shadow covers me.
It’s not about, not about, not about me; it never was, and it never will be.

“Shedding the Mess”

He is shedding my mess so I can give him my best. Everyday is a test, but in him, I rest.
Walking beside him, getting closer each day, letting him know I love him and giving him all the praise.
He is shedding the mess that does not belong, the mess that keeps me away from his throne. The layer’s that have piled up year after, after year; he is pulling it from me and making the way clear.
Oh, the years that the enemy has stole from me; he is shedding the mess, restoring the best, and setting me free.
Each layer is painful as he gets to the core; but I stand before him giving all I have so he can do more.
He is shedding the mess so others can see him, and not me. Through the trails and tests, there is a testimony.

"Check, check, Yourself"

Check, check, yourself, before you wreck yourself, there’s a problem in you, I see. Those who are sittin in the pews, sayin Holy Spirit rain down on me. Are you really pure or is it a show for others to see.

Check, check, yourself, before you wreck yourself, are you were you should be. Thinkin you’re holier than thou, but inside you’re as filthy as can be.
Hello, hello can you hear me; am the Spirit that speaks within, don’t ignore me, come before me, allow me to change the man within. Or do you choose to be deaf and blind to the things that concern me, to the things that hold you, to the flesh that controls you. I'm sayin straighten up your act cause I'm about to expose the facts. You ain’t doin things right by me, cause I aint feelin no love comin from you to me.

Check, check, one two one two I gotta a holla in me. There’s people reading my book and they don’t see you representing me. Selfishness, pride, lust and greed are all they see, and you tellin them this is the way come follow me; no, no, no, that ain’t me. I need you to wear humility. Walkin in love so others can see me, not all you can be. That does not mean you’re weak you see; it just means you‘re my servant and you follow me.
Check, check, get it right; get it right, I may be here tomorrow, today or tonight. Come before me clean, pure and contrite. I don’t want any mess, only the best in my sight. Check, check, yourself, before you wreck yourself, and come right.

"Pray me Through"

Don’t judge me; don’t judge me, until you walk a mile in my shoes. Don’t tell me what I ought to do. Don’t tell me; don’t tell me until you, take care of you.
Every time you point at me, there’s three pointing right back at you.
Don’t judge me; don’t judge me until you clean up your act. Don’t tell me nothin until your closet is in tack.
See I know you got some skeletons too, some bones that need to be unwrapping, that are still deep inside of you. It just happens to be that mine are in plain view; so let God do what he needs to do, so he gets the glory and his presence shine through. Cause let me tell you, it’s not gonna come from you, from what I can see you a hot mess too.
Stop looking at me, until you take a good look at you. Are you doin what God’s word says for you to do, are you being true to you.
Don’t be haughty with me, when you were once there to. It may not have been the same situation, but I know it was God, and not you.
Just pray that I keep the faith like you and stop judging me until I get my break through.
Don’t judge me; don’t judge me, just pray me through.

"Whispers"

He whispers so gently in my ear, my heart is open I have no fear.
The tears that roll down my face are washing away all my mistakes.
I nestle in his lap and he holds me near.
Our time alone is what I cherish and hold dear.
He says things to me for no one else to hear,
and when he’s done, my mind becomes clear.
I'm deep into him and he’s all into me,
a whisper of love is what he gently speaks to me.

Don't let the Bed Bugs Bite

God has many interesting ways of taking care of his children. A lot of times we are not aware of him working behind the scenes. We don’t know why we can’t move forward or go backward. We just have to trust him and stand still. Believe that he has everything under control.
Now why am I saying all this? Well, several weeks ago I encountered bed bug bites at the center I was staying in for my discipleship. My feet were so swollen I could hardly walk up and down the stairs. But I tried to make it to every class and service, regardless as to how I was feeling; which was pretty miserable. To give you an imaginary view of how swollen my feet were, think Fred Flintstone. Now it sounds funny but that’s how big they were. I was having an allergic reaction to the bed bugs. Now that wasn’t so unusual for me, because am allergic to any type of insect bite, I swell up on contact. Lawd forbid I get stung by a bee; I probably look like Pillsbury Dough Boy. I always thought bed bugs were a myth, you’ve heard the saying, “Don’t let the bed bugs bite.” I use to laugh every time I heard someone say it. Now I know they actually do exist.

The director of the women’s ministry asked me to leave until I was able to move around again. Going back and forth to the emergency room for medication wasn’t doing me any good, I needed to be off my feet. She suggested that I get the right medical attention, because it didn’t look like an allergic reaction to bed bugs. To her it seemed to be something a little more serious.
Hurt and confuse, because I knew that was the problem. I packed my things and went to stay with some friends of mine; which is where I am now; and will be until they can get rid of the little pest. Uh yeah, they still have them and they’re worse than before. Now the director of the women’s ministry is being eaten alive, along with everyone else. Of course no one is having an allergic reaction to them; they just have discussing little bite all over their body.
Um, and to think that I almost went back because they hadn’t return any of my calls; I was just about to return because I thought that was what God told me to do, NOT!

I allowed my imagination to get the best of me. I thought I was being tempted to stay out of the program. I said, “Well, if they don’t call me back, I’ll just go anyway. The devil is a lie; I have to be obedient to what I heard in church on Sunday morning.” I had to check myself, because I almost went back with an attitude and no direction. I felt stupid when I found out that the bed bugs were still there. Then I started to question if I really heard Holy Spirit saying, “Go Back” to me during service or was I feeling guilty about staying away for so long. To be honest, I really didn’t want to go back this week because my birthday is Sunday. But I realize that if you want to be obedient to God’s will, you do what he wants you to do, because it’s not about you.

Am sure you’re asking what my next step will be. Uh, don’t know, just standing still to see what he says. That doesn’t mean I won’t go back, it just means I can’t until they resolve the problem.

Reading Purpose p31's blog

I was reading Purpose p31's blog titled "Get Real and Get Ready!" on Myspace from a year ago. The woman can preach. She was talking about how we don't have much time left until Jesus comes back. I tell you one thing it made me want to repent all over again.

Believe it or not the message is still the same. People, we need to get right with God. When he comes back we have no excuse. We can't say we didn't know. With all the information out here about God's perfect will and plan, we make life hard for ourselves. Don't let the devil deceive you into thinking you have all the time in the world; because like Purpose said, Jesus is coming back. All it takes is a simple prayer. A choice to allow God to govern you life. I rather have God than satan.

You know, the one thing God wants from us is a relationship. That's all, that's why he created us in the first place. That's why he made us in his own image. Every since the fall of man, God has been desperately trying to get us back. Think about it, who do you know that would send their son to die for you so you can live forever. I don't know anyone who would do that. I don't know any one who can set me free from torment, doubt and fear, that's what the devil does. Oh yeah, he will show you a good time for a while, but it won't last. The wages of sin is death. Which means, not being in the presence of God and that is what the devil is trying to do. Keep you out of the presence of God. God gives you peace, joy, and happiness; and most of love. Who else can do that? No one here on earth; the only person I know who can do that is my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Being in his presence every day has changed my life. Your's too if you let him. Wouldn't you rather be in his presence forever than to be eternally separated from him? I know I do, God knows I do.
Give him a try. Don't wait until it's too late. Don't be one of the ones turned away on judgment day.

Ask God to show you, ask him to forgive you and make things right. Say, Lord I need you. I am a sinner, forgive me of all my sins. Cleanse me and make me whole again. Come into life and change my life, in Jesus Name, Amen. That's it, that's all, it's done.
Your a new creature in Christ. Old things passed away, everything new again. Welcome to the body of Christ. If you have any questions don't hesitate to write.
Oh yeah here is Purpose p31 blog if you would like to read it:blogs.myspace.com/purpose_p31. It's really powerful.

But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Matthew 6:33 KJV

About my Father's business

Well, I've packed up and have thrown away every thing that isn't important to me anymore, or I should say that I won't miss. Made call to the Dream Center to tell them that I am coming back, but no one has return my call. I wonder what that is all about. So I decided that I'll just show up at their door step and say "Let me in." I hope there is still room for me. I know the Lord told me to go back.
God is good. I have some money coming in from unemployment, which I didn't expect. I don't have to worry about food because there is plenty to eat.
You know Sunday, when I was in service I saw Jesus's feet. I knew that meant it was time for me to go back. Not to mention that he told to go back. LOL

The service at Kingdom In the Valley was really blessed. The Holy Spirit moved in a mighty way. People were healed and delivered. God is just awesome, how could anyone not serve him.

That is why an going back. I want to be obedient to his will and purpose for my life. So hope to see you soon. I hope to blog again soon, but you don't hear from me, please pray for me.

There is no excuse!!!

You remember when you were in school and the teacher gave you an assignment to write a hundred-word essay on whatever topic he or she happens to choose. Better yet, let us talk about the term papers you had to write when you were in college. Yeah, am sure you remember those days.

There was always a due date, and the instructor always gave you plenty of time to do the research on the topic, but some of us tend to procrastinate. Telling ourselves, we work really well under pressure; or I do my best work when I wait until the last minute. However, some do not do the assignment at all, and look stupid when they get a failing grade.

You are probably wondering where am going with this. Well, I was sitting here on the internet thinking about all the available resources we have on God and what he says in his word. What he wants from us, and how we should live. I realize there are so many of us who choose not to open the bible and read his word. For some reason we think we are going to get into heaven with our good deeds and looks and having a shoutin good time in church.
Every day I realize the due date is getting close. I realize that I have an assignment to get to know him so he will not say to me, “Who are you; you’re not in the book of life.” Oh God, I do not want to be one of the ones who say, “But, I didn’t know, no one told me.” Just to hear him say, “There is no excuse; I gave you plenty of time to know me.
We have an assignment and due date is getting close.

God wants to know the Heart of man

There is a song that I listen to as often as I can by Donnie McClurkin, “Speak to my Heart”. As matter of fact, am listening to it now while writing this blog. It’s my prayer to the Holy Spirit, when I want him to speak to me. I want to know the deep thoughts of God. I want to know his Spirit, which is the Holy Spirit.

It says in 1Corinthians 2:10:10Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the [a]divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man's scrutiny]. It goes on to say, 11For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a man's thoughts except the man's own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend) the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. Amplified Bible

When I opened my eyes this morning, I asked God what he wanted me to do with my day. I had this strong nudge from the Holy Spirit to go back and read Isaiah 43:18-19: 18Do not [earnestly] remember the former things; neither consider the things of old. 19Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Amplified Bible

I said to myself, “Okay, I’ve seen this before. What are you trying to tell me Lord?” So He took me to Ezekiel 36:26-27:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. NIV

So I said to myself again, “Lord haven’t I been keeping your laws and decrees?” So he guided me to Ezekiel 33:31-32: 31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain. 32 Indeed, to them you are nothing more than one who sings love songs with a beautiful voice and plays an instrument well, for they hear your words but do not put them into practice. NIV All I could say was, Ouch!!

But wait, here’s the cool part. I went to Hebrews 8:10 where it says: 10This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. NIV
This follows up with Isaiah 43:18-19 and Ezekiel 36:26-27.

All I could say was, “Speak to me Lord, take your hand and put your word in my heart! Let your Spirit abide in me and me in you, so I will not sin against you. For it says in John 6:44-46 that it is the Spirit of God that draws men to you and that you will teach them. John 6:44-46: 44No one is able to come to Me unless the Father Who sent Me attracts and draws him and gives him the desire to come to Me, and [then] I will raise him up [from the dead] at the last day. 45It is written in [the book of] the Prophets, And they shall all be taught of God [have Him in person for their Teacher]. Everyone who has listened to and learned from the Father comes to Me--(A) 46Which does not imply that anyone has seen the Father [not that anyone has ever seen Him] except He [Who was with the Father] Who comes from God; He [alone] has seen the Father. Amplified Bible
Teach me father to put your word into practice and always allow you to speak to my heart. For it is the heart of man God wants to know. We must practice his word and not just hear it.

Stop Complaining and Start Praising

I was writing out Psalms 78 today and found it very interesting. I realize that no matter what God did for the Israelites, they always complained. They manage to always fine something wrong with where they were going, what type of food they ate or whether or not they would make it out alive or not from the enemies that were pursuing them or the one they wer about to persue.
They hardly ever took out time to praise and thank God for the many blessings he already bestowed on them. No wonder God got so angry with them. The more he tried to please them, the more they grumbled and groaned.

Look, the man took them through the Red Sea, on dry land, out of slavery and they told Moses that they wanted to go back because they wanted the kind of food they had back in Egypt; where is the water, we want meat, can I get some fries to go with that shake, blah, blah, blah, blah...

Now God was like, say what, after all I done for these people and their still not happy. One minute they're praising me and the next minute they're saying what have you done for me lately. I know some people like that, never satisfied with what they have, always wanting more.

I don't know anyone who has ever recieve bread from the sky or had meat dropped in at their door step; well, maybe when you look at how we transport things today. We can get meat and bread flown in from anywhere; but that's not my point.
God made sure they had more than enough, even though they didn't deserve it. Huh, sounds like some more people I know. They don't deserve half of what they get.

Anyhow, the fowl that came in was three feet high, and a days journey long for them to gather it all up. Wow, now that's God taken care of his pee's.
The funny thing about it though, or at least when you think about it, he blast them while they were eating, because he was stil angry with them. I can hear it now, "Why you ungratful, bam, bam. There they laid dead with meat hanging out their mouth.
Ooooh, don't wanna mess with an angry God.
So stop complaining and start praising

Listen

Listen to your heart. God speaks to the heart of man. The ear is the channel to the heart.

Have you ever notice the word ear is in the middle of the word heart. I bet you didn't know that there are a lot of words that have the word ear inside, and they are all related to God. When you have some time, write the word heart and see how many words that relate to the word heart.

For example: heart, tear, fear, earth all have the word ear in them, and they all connect in some way. Try making a puzzle out of it's really fun.

Just something I was doing in my spare time. Think about it, something may be reveal to you. It was to me.

Hello and Welcome

Hello everyone,

Am glad you drop by. Am using this blog while I am in the discipleship program at the Dream Center in Phoenix, Arizona. So you can walk and pray with me as I take this new path in my life.

God has done so many things in my life as some of you may already know by reading my Facebook and MySpace comments.

You may be asking why are you in a discipleship program and what led you there? Believe me I asked God the same question. Like some of you I fell into hardship with no place to go and no one to turn too but God. So I asked Him, where do you want me to go and what do you want me to do. A still small voice spoke to my heart and said the Dream Center. Not knowing much about the Dream Center I search the internet to check out what the program had to offer.
Click here to learn more about the program.
http://www.phxdreamcenter.org/.

When I got there I didn't know what to expect. I thought is was a place for homeless people, but it's not, it's much more. It's a place where you sit at the feet of Jesus. It's a place where you have a one on one relationship with him. It's a place where you go to the next level.

Now believe me, I would have never pick a place like this for myself, but this is where I am for a while, and I learning so much about myself and being in His Presence.

So join me when you can; as I take this journey at Jesus's feet. The Holy Spirit has already delievered me from a thirty-five year addiction to cigarettes. That is a testimony in itself. As of September 6,2009 (which is my birthday), it will have been two months since my last cigarette, my last one was July 6, 2009, the day I enter the program. I find that very interesting, July 6, Sept 6, hummm...

I had to step out for a minute because of a an allergic reaction to some bed bugs bites, but I intend on going back. Just as soon as finish some last minute business, which should be done by the end of this week. Hopefully the bed bugs are gone.

I hope to share with many of you the changes that I will be going through while I am in the program. I am eager to hear from all of you who vist this blog, and I hope that you will pray for me as I will be doing the same for you.

God Bless, and let the journey began.

P.S. Don't forget to leave a comment!
