A Leap of Faith

As humans we believe in many things that we can see. We believe that the chair or couch that we sit on will hold us up without thinking of the possibility that it may come crashing down at any moment. We know for certain that the sun will go down and come up again, regardless if it’s cloudy or not. It’s just fact and it has always been that way since the day we enter the world or since the world began. These are simple things that we take for granted every day, they are the physical and natural we trust and understand. It makes sense to us to see something working already without having to rely on inner instincts, but it’s the not knowing or seeing that makes us uncomfortable.

In today’s society we have been condition to believe that we have to see it before we believe it. We even speak that the possible is impossible without realizing what we have said. It’s been so deeply in grain in us that we repeat the negative without thinking about.  That’s because it has to make sense to us before we can believe that it is possible. Now, I’m sure you’re wondering where I am going with this, why am I talking about beliefs and seeing is believing; Well, there is a scripture that comes to mind when it comes to believing in the possible and taking that leap of faith. Hebrews 11:1 NLT says: What is faith? It is the confident assurance that what we hope for is going to happen. It is the evidence of things we cannot see. So with that being said do you have the vision to see what isn’t in front of you; and because to you believe it so much, are you willing to take that leap of faith to make it happen? If your answer is yes, I invited you to take a leap of faith into the possibilities of making life easier for you.

Sometimes opportunities just drop in our laps, as this did for me. It couldn't have happen at a better time. I was looking for another job and came across and advertisement for posting links. So I took a looked into it a little further; as I began to search more into the program, it became clear to me this could be something I can do to gain some residual income. So I paid the money to start posting links and found out it wasn't what I thought it was supposed to be, so I opt out of the program. Now that’s normal, but if I haven’t taken that leap of faith, I wouldn't have come across something that I really love doing, and that’s blogging. Now I've been blogging for about two years off and on; but I never thought I could really make any money doing it; until I got a call from someone who is already doing it and is making enough money to take care of their basic necessities and more. Can you envision yourself doing what you love and making money at it with very little monies to start? Well it’s possible, if you’re willing to try.

I read a face book post from Girlfriendsingod.com the other day that said “Faith doesn't make things easy, it makes things possible.” Meaning that anything you try isn’t easy, but if you willing to try and believe with all your heart that the vision you have to make a difference in your life is there, than with faith nothing is impossible.

Now I’m beginning a new chapter in my life. Who would have thought I would be making money doing something I love. It’s rare that you get the chance to do something you really love to do; but when you pursue to do what you have been called to do, than the possibilities are endless.

Holding on to the Possibilities

Anything is possible if you choose to believe. You can accomplish whatever you desire to do. I believe the reason why most people don't explore their possibilities is because they are afraid of the unknown. Fear has a crippling effect on so many people and that fear keeps them in bondage to pursue their dreams. Past mistakes and failures for some can be very discouraging if they’re not around the right people. However, being around the right people can also be harmful to that person if they don’t understand the dream or vision. Sometimes it pays to keep some things out of the ears of others. Some people without realizing can say something negative that can be harmful or may even hinder the person’s dream or vision.

I often think about John the Baptist's father, Zechariah, who was made mute because he didn't believe in the possibility of his wife Elizabeth becoming pregnant. Now considering the circumstances at the time it wasn't likely for them to have artificial simulation, so the only way for them to conceive was the natural way; and seeing that they have tried for many years to have a child, Zechariah was a little puzzle how this was to be done. Instead of Zechariah just believing what Gabriel said, he was thinking too hard on how this would work instead of just believing. So instead of allowing Zechariah to speak negative words and infecting negative thoughts into his wife, Elizabeth, Gabriel shut his mouth until John the Baptist was born. It was during that time when Elizabeth was carrying the promise of her son, that Zechariah or anyone else who didn't believe couldn't abort the vision, the dream that was given to her. It was during that time that her cousin Mary came to assist her in the birth of her son, because she too was carrying a promise, a vision that and only her and Elizabeth could share and agree on. Both of them doing what seem impossible to others became possible for them, because they believed.

So believe that anything is possible and don't shatter the dreams or visions of others. Doing that could produce fear and abort the vision before they get started. Be like Zechariah, who unfortunately was made mute because he did not believe; but he watch and observed the miracles that were taking place in both his wife and niece. You know the cool thing about John the Baptist and Jesus’s conception and birth is that it was based on a promise that was given four years before, and the person who predicted the birth of these two men did not get to see the full manifestation, but they believed.
